"Yeah," their driver answered. "Guess the zebra didn't see her laying there. Good thing it's the middle of the day and the lion is resting."
"Wow," Hilda said more quietly this time. "I nearly saw nature in the raw today. I just don't think I'm ready for that on this vacation."
Hilda was ready for the tour to be over so she could go back to the lodge and ease the tension she was feeling. That had all been a little too close for comfort.

"A zebra..." Carl started.
"Yep," Hilda replied.
"Over a cement truck."
"A speeding cement truck. Yep."
"I didn't see it."
Hilda pointed suddenly. "Well, did you see that rabbit climb that telephone pole?"
"When?"
"Just now while we were talking."
"No, I didn't see that either."
"How about that dog that just swallowed a garden tractor?"
"Aw, come off it, Hilda..."
"Holy cow! Did you see that?"
Carl sighed. "Yeah, I did. I did see that one. I saw it before you did. Okay?"
"Then why on earth did you step in it?" Hilda asked.
