She opened the door and went in. She smiled at all the guns and knives hanging on the walls around her. Which to choose, she thought evilly. Rose pick a small silenced .44 and a small switch blade. Did she hear sirens? No, it was just her imagination. Thinking she was sufficiently supplied she left the room and returned to the stairwell. Quietly humming to herself she decended the stairs. Rose swung her coat on and walked out the door. As she turned to lock it a booming voice from behind her called "Rose, don't move I will have my men shoot!" Her heart sunk. Rose McHeart was caught.
by Lauren K, INHer husband and their two young children were watching New Years Eve around the world. "Daddy," spoke their young daughter,"I wish Mommy doesn't get drunk like she did on Christmas."
"Me, too, kitten."
Rose stood near her bathroom sink with a bottle. She quietly muttered to the bottle, "You think you own me but you don't, you liquid devil. You are not going to destroy me." With that she watched the whisky, her liquid devil, gurgle down the drain.
With a cheery smile, Rose entered the living room. She gave her husband a tender twinkle, and then she sat between their two children. She hugged both of them dearly. "My precious gang, let's watch the New Year come in together."
by Anthony Bagnick, Lake Ariel, PAFor some reason, once that idea was resolved in her mind, Rose felt as though she had finally made some headway in her topsy turvy life.
Mary Smith, Fredericksburg, TXAs she was looking over the jacket the set came in, her attention was distracted by the blurb on the television, alerting viewers to the premier of the much anticipated new program, "Bloodstone Treasures". As Rose sat mesmerized by short scenes from the new series, the resolve of watching 100 episodes of "Family First" suddenly seemed trivial.
As the promotional scenes faded, and the new series commenced with an incredible scenic vista of the Australian coast, Rose returned the boxed set of "Family First" dvds to the coffee table.
Tomorrow would be soon enough for her to try to keep her only New Year's resolution.
