"Would he really do that, Bill? It sounded like the boss really had enough of his antics the last time."
"Oh yeah, Kate, he would do it again. He likes to push all the buttons to get the boss peeved."
"Won't he get fired? I mean, Mr. Kilner sounded like he was really fed up the last time!"
"If it were you or me, we would probably be looking for a job next week."
"That doesn't seem very fair."
"No, it doesn't. But then, neither of us are married to any of the boss's sisters!"

Billy shrugged. "Even if we did, what could they do? I don't think they do military strikes on private homes."
Cissy started pacing. "Well, what are we going to do? He's going to make an awful mess. If he hasn't already!"
Billy shrugged again. "The first thing to do is not panic! We can deal with this."
The ground shook again and a cry issued from the next room.
Cissy jumped to her feet. "It's going to a terrible mess, I can feel it. I can't take this anymore! It's driving me crazy!"
Billy grabbed her hand and pulled her back down on the couch. "Calm down! I'll get on the phone and call Mom. She can walk us through it again."
Cissy tried to slow her breathing. "That'll help, I guess. You know, I could kick myself for not paying closer attention when they talked about preventing teen pregnancy in health class."
