...my life for the first time and I don't like it. Before now I blindly accepted what has been dealt to me. Here I am going along like sheep following the leader. For some reason this vacation got to me. It made me realize that there's other ways to live. The world can be brighter, more challenging, not humdrum if you just are willing to let things in."

Donna laughted at her friend. "By things do you mean Paolo?"

...a mountain of paperwork that is due on McGruder's desk in two days. While I was gone I didn't even think about this place and now it's come crashing back down on my head. I'll never catch up. I'm getting really stressed here!"

Mable stirred her coffee and said from across the cubicle wall, "So what are you going to do about it?"

Lisa switched off her computer and grabbed her purse. "I'm going to ask McGruder for a vacation."
