Jerrold watched as the lights flashing over the mountains suddenly went dim, then...

...there was silence for a few seconds before a crash sounded out. More silence. More silence. Then an explosion, like a bomb going off. "Oh no! Dad's helicopter went down! We have to go up there, on the mountain and find out what's happened! Call the police! Have them get Rescue into action!"
Jeremy hoped and hoped, that those silences meant that his dad has somehow escaped from the wreckage... he hoped and hoped... and prayed ...

"What do you think that is?" he asked his mother.
She studied the sky for a second, then nodded. "The new Wal-Mart going in at the ski lodge."
