"Wow, did you see that, Freddie?" Carrie whispered. "Up there in old man Myer's top window, I think I just saw..."

...a belly dancer."
Freddie snorted. "Please! Old man Myers is a hundred if he's a day. What'd he be doing with a belly dancer?"
Carrie kept peering up at the window. "Look, another! And another! And look! Old man Myers is dancing with them! Wait till I tell the gang. Old man Myers gone wild!"
Freddie wrinkled his brow in consternation. He stared hard at the vision. After a long minute, his mouth curved upward in a satisfied smile. "Carrie, those aren't belly dancers. They're just ghosts. See how they float?"
Carrie watched, then gave a disappointed sigh. "I guess you're right," she said, turning to leave. "And here I thought we had some really good gossip."

...flashing lights."
"Flashing light?"
"Yeah, you know like a disco ball. Like when we used to go disco dancing. Remember that?" she said with a smile.
"I wish I could forget. You step on my foot more than once with those platform shoes of yours."
"Well what about your outfits, John Travolta? Look out here comes Freddie!" They both laughed.
As they walked away reminiscing they heard a siren in the distance.
The next day Carrie opened the news paper. "Hey Freddie," she said, "it says here old man Myers called 911 last night, when the police got there he wasn't home and they haven't found him.
"Wow," Freddie said with a concerned look on his face. "Do you think it might have something to do with the flashing lights and the UFO sighting I've heard of lately?"
One year later Mr. Myers was still missing.

...a baby."
"Does this mean what I think it means" Freddie asked.
"Yes, that means his daughter finally came home for a visit. He told me that they haven't talked in years although he has talked with his son-in-law. Let's go over and say hello." Carrie said.
"Let's wait until tomorrow and give them time to reconnect." Freddie responded.
"Good idea!" She agreed.

...my twin!"
"No I didn't see it. Wait a minute...you don't have a twin....do you?" Freddie said with a bewildered look.
"No way. That's why it's so wierd. She was looking out at us, but when I glanced up there, she ducked out of the window. Come on, let's check it out."
"Ok. Wait. What if Myer doesn't want us going up there?"
But Carrie was already on the front porch, easing open a window. "He's not here, silly. Everyone knows that he is gone to the hospital with a stroke."
They ascended the stairs, and after a few wrong turns, located the attic stairs and climbed up them. But the attic was empty except for some old chests. They looked out the window.
"Freddie..." Carrie was trembling. "Look at those two kids...THEY'RE US!"
And if they would have looked behind them, they would have seen what was coming out of one of the chests....

...Mrs. Myers dancing."
"Really?"
"Yeah, she was almost naked, too. Freddie, she was wearing pasties and a skimpy thong."
"Good grief, she just turned 97 on her last birthday!"
"Yeah, I know. I think I'm going home and soak my eyes."
"Happy Halloween," Freddie called as Carrie staggered away.
"It used to be."
