"Hey! I think winter's finally over," Christen shouted. "I just smelled a..."

...rat in the cupboard. Moreover I can see ants, cockroaches, and spiders crawling all over the place, with snakes and frogs coming out of hibernation.

Molly, please see that you don't leave food items strewn all over the place, which is a bonanza for these insects. Please ensure that you empty the rubbish bin and dispose off the rubbish. Next time please remind me when we go to the supermarket to buy the insecticides and pesticides sprays.

Please ensure to keep the place clean or else we will be eaten up alive!!!

...rose! I'll have to see if I can find it."

"I don't think there'll be roses out yet," Mom said, adding, "and we haven't eaten lunch yet."

"I want to take it outside and eat it in the sunshine."

"Right, I'll bring it then."

They went out into the large garden. Mom headed for the large wooden table, spread a thick cloth and began setting out the plates and food.

Christen returned with a bunch of white roses.

They sat and selected what they wanted from a plate holding buttered bread, lettuce, cheese, sprouts and tomatoes. While Christen began eating, Mom spread her salad with mayonaise.

"They're blushing Mom," Christen said seriously. "They saw the salad dressing."

"You smelled a robin?" Roger asked. "How can you smell a robin?"

"I used my nose, silly."

"What are you, a dog? How can you smell a robin that's all the way out in the yard?"

"It's simple, silly. The poor dear was wearing dirty underwear."

"Oh," Roger said. "That's nice. And stop calling me silly."
