Autumn is my favorite time of year," Christy said. "I love it most when I see..."

...the leaves changing color.
"I like wearing fall clothes," Rebecca commented.
"I like autumn because it will soon be Thanksgiving," Amy explained.
"What is your least favorite season?" Christy asked looking toward Rebecca.
"Summer," Rebecca answered.
"Why is that?" Amy wanted to know.
"Because you spend most of the summer sweating and I hate summer clothes," Rebecca answered.
"You have an issue with clothing don't you?" Christy chimed in.
"Well if you were chubby like me and didn't look that great in cute, summer outfits then you would have an issue as well," Rebecca sounded defensive.
"So diet," Amy offered a solution.
"You're right. I'll start right away," Rebecca agreed.
"Good idea," Christy thought she could lose a few pounds as well.

...the leaves change colors and fall into multi-colored piles at the feet of trees just beginning to go to sleep for the long winter's reign on the countryside which is preparing for the first snow that will blanket the ground with a shroud of white and chill the air which will be crisp and exhilarate our lungs bringing a fresh new outlook on life even though the drab landscape will strive to depress that exhilaration and cause our feelings to wander to thoughts of chilliness and grayness and an end-to-things sensation which we will then strive to overcome as we stare out the windows at the new alien scenery which is so unlike our usual breeze-swept growth-covered geography that we see everyday as we rise to face the new day...
"Okay," the teacher said, "we'll stop right there, Christy. We'd love to hear the rest of it, but fear we'll be moving into spring again by the time you finish your report on Autumn."
